TUMOR SUPPRESSOR GENES
Tumor suppressor genes are considered the guardian of the cell, as they act as a guard for cells against cancer. The tumor suppressor genes slow down cell division, ensuring every cell receives the proper attention and care in the cell needs for damage and mutation. Tumor suppressor genes have the ability to be mutated as well. With this mutation tumor suppressor are able to function unless both suppressor genes are mutated together.
